(s) The only way Graham have succeeded in getting their supercharger worm drive to remain quiet is by using straight sided rack teeth made only by the Michigan Tool Co. These have a large area of contact and if accurately located to .00025" are quite satisfactory.

G.M. research rather like the Auburn epicyclic drive, but Kishline says that dirty oil very soon causes trouble.

Got two letters from Ru. and will get all the dope on the Zephyr and as many of the costs as possible.

By the time we have found out why the Zephyr 12 is as rough or rougher than the Ford V-8 we could have copied exactly the Cadillac V-8, one of which I am borrowing to go to Strombergs. Cadillacs use a 'Diamond' rubber mounting, and by adjusting the side feet alter the weight distribution of the engine fore and aft for maximum smoothness.
