SPARE WHEELS & SPARE WHEEL CARRIERS. ------------------------------------ Having taken the matter up through Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} with Sales the following combinations have been agreed upon as necessary by Sales :- (1) Two spare wheels carried at the rear. (Very occasionally used). (2) One spare wheel at the rear with a luggage grid beyond, with further provision by means of one spare wheel carrier for a 6th wheel at the side. (3) Two spare wheels carried in front with an ordinary luggage grid at the rear for occasional use only. The spare wheel scheme in question at the rear is the vertical one without shoes. As none of the above designs have finished the full road test required we are not in a position to order material, but we should order dies and jigs and tools. Summarising it therefore the position is as follows :- (1) Standard equipment supplied with the car. One rear spare wheel carrier only of the vertical type to part list No. D.72147. (2) Optional to customers' purchases. (a) Luggage grid carried beyond the standard spare wheel scheme referred to above to L.O.P. D.72135. (b) One side spare wheel carrier to a scheme which we have just submitted to WW. based on some sketches they sent us. This spare wheel carrier will be suitable for use on either side of the car. LOP. D.72147. (c) Two spare wheels at the rear with no luggage grid to part list No. F.80176. (d) Spare wheels carried at the side with luggage grid only at the rear. | ||
