E1/G6.1.20.

X.3563. RE SYLPHON UNIT FOR WATER TEMPERATURE REGULATOR - 40/50 H.P. CHASSIS.

We send you herewith drawing No. LeC.1184 illustrating the above.

The Fulton Company of America was found to be producing a bellows unit for us having a long internal guide, as per blue print 3548 of the Fulton Company No. 98/R attached. This is not suitable for the schemes to be used, namely, LeC. 1143, but instead of cancelling this internal guide altogether, it should be replaced by short centering device on the moving end of the unit, as shewn on LeC.1184 and the present lower guide on the spindle given on LeC. 1143 should be deleted.

Mr. Olley has been telegraphed to the above effect, but exact dimensional instructions carrying out LeC. 1184 should be, of course, send to the Fulton Company as soon as possible.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
