We have had about six failures of battery box supports on cars in customers' hands. The brackets have broken through at the lug. We had this failure on some of the Experimental cars. The bracket was then strengthened up and also an extra stiffener was put on to the box. There are, however, a number of cars on the road with the old type brackets, and it is these which have failed. We attach herewith a blue print which shews a proposal to add an extra bracket on the cars on the road. It is necessary for this bracket to be clip-on type because on most cars it is quite impossible to get at the rear battery cross member. A Standardisation Sheet for this modification is on its way now. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
