RE DUNLOP STRAIGHT-SIDED TYRES.

Messrs. Dunlop are sending to Conduit Street a set of wheels and tyres for your car. We should like you to take particular note of the noise caused by these tyres.

The Dunlop people have altered the tread on the straight-sided tyres compared with those which we have been running on experimental cars. We find that these altered tyres are much more noisy than those we have been running. We should very much like your opinion on this point. We have already written to the Dunlop people, pointing out to them that we spend a lot of money in order to overcome the slightest noise on our cars and therefore we can hardly be expected to recommend tyres which are noisy.

We suggest you should run these tyres on your open Trials Car with 65 lbs. pressure front and rear.

We should like you to return to the works the standard wheels off your car so that they can be used up.
