To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3633 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M23.11.23. RE. SPARE WHEEL CARRIER X.3633 20 HP. & 40/50 HP. X.4085 We thank you for your BY/C12/H19.11.23., and the enclosed L.F.396., and think that this should be tried although the stiffener is not as good as originally schemed. Should it be found inadequate we can devise a more elaborate reinforcement. We believe that the wheel carriers on the Goshawk are liable to work loose on the frame, and suggest that 3/8" bolts be used in future so as to get a great friction load. This also applies to N.sch.1409 - Carrier for Spare Wheel 40/50 HP. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
