Rubber Shackles on 10,000 miles Ph.III. We visited Firth's yesterday to see them about the manufacture of suitable springs for testing out the rubber shackle at the front of the rear road springs on 32-EX. Their earliest promise for delivery meant a fortnight's working time on the springs; in view of the fact therefore that these are to be fitted to 32-EX, the tests on the rubber shackles cannot start until about 4 days after receiving the springs.
