1158 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.3/MH.{M. Huckerby} 4th. June 1938. The British Thermostat Co. Ltd., Teddington Works, Windmill Road, Sunbury-on-Thames, MIDDLESEX. For the attention of Mr.Martin-Hurst. Dear Sirs, Thank you for your letter of the 2nd. inst. and note that you are despatching the car heater motor to us on June 7th. Referring to our letter of the 2nd. inst. will you please ignore this and let us have the motor without a flange type fixing (as per ball bearing motor sent us). We send you herewith a print DCD.709 which shows a car heater rheostatic switch which we think we shall use with what-ever car heater we adopt. Will you please let us have quotations for supplying these (a) in lots of 200, (b) in lots of 1,000. Will you please give us alternative quotations for supplying this switch exactly as drawn and also with dial plate chromium plated and chromium plated cap fitted to control knob, so that the external finish is entirely chromium. The tool costs should be quoted separately from the unit price. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
