WST see Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 86037 BY.13/G.9.1.34. 20/25 HP. CHASSIS (D.2. SERIES). DYNAMO. ----------------------------------------- As a rule we have a fair supply of sectional material for making the poles and other parts in stock for the dynamo requirements. We have, however, at the moment used up our stock, and I am interested in knowing whether you feel sure that you will be able to introduce the vibrator control type of machine for D.2. series, and if so, have you sufficient experience on the road to issue the standardisation sheet before completion of the next 10,000 mile (20/25) test. The matter is important, as the sectional material is difficult to obtain, and we want to start quickly with the right section, either for the vibrator control or for the old type. We would like to point out that continuing for a series with the present third brush scheme would entail us ordering quite a fair amount of material, or at least paying for it, as if we ordered a small amount it would cost nearly as much, due to having to work the dies, and we would like to avoid scrap of this type. If you feel fairly safe we would take the risk and order the material, so as to have it available when the dynamo is standardised. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
