Dear Sirs,

Monikrom Camshafts.

We have your letter of the 17th January for which we thank you.

In regard to material for tappets, our own tests have been most extensively carried out with case hardened steel, and experience has shown that these give remarkably good results.

We have several customers, however, who use chilled cast iron tappets in conjunction with Monikrom camshafts, and they are perfectly satisfied with them.

In general, we find that a manufacturer does not make any change of tappet material when replacing case hardened steel camshafts with Monikrom, and we know of no case in which a changeover has been found necessary.

Yours faithfully,
THE MIDLAND MOTOR CYLINDER CO.LTD.
