Dear Sirs, We wish to thank you for your letter of the 7th and we note that the starting current for the lighter batteries you require will be approximately 160 amperes at a temperature of 80 F. {Mr Friese} We are now preparing details of two different sizes of batteries and when we are satisfied as regards these, sample batteries will be built up and tests carried out as promised in our letter to you of the 9th instant. The details of the life test which you give in your letter are very interesting, and we are pleased to note that the battery you tested was found to be superior to that supplied by another maker which was tested at the same time.
