He asked me to call a Conference, consisting of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}, and BX. to consider whether what I mentioned to him on the telephone was practicable, namely, to fit a fabric coupling at once, which can be done as the Experimental Dept. have the necessary parts, or fit the old type spring drive coupling, and leave it for two or three months.
