re Chassis No. 36-DC.
Kenyon.

We note the remarks contained in your Br/G26/G.21.11.35.

The dynamo taken from this chassis had the poles trailed, but no attempt was made to increase the out-put by alteration to brushes as this is not our standard practice.

Actually, the trailing of the poles will only be of benefit at speeds over 30 m.p.h. The effect is to maintain the out-put at higher speeds, and actually the cutting in point will be later than that of a standard machine.

We realise, of course, that this particular customer will not reap any benefit from the modification as you say the car is used extensively for night work, presumably in built up areas where the speed will not exceed 30 m.p.h.

We have have discussed the matter with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. and he he agreed to have the machine and affect some definite improvement in the out-put.

Will D/BP. therefore arrange to have the machine handed to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst when it arrives.
