Messrs. Thomas Firth & John Brown Ltd.,
Norfolk Works,
Sheffield.

For the attention of Mr. Porter.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to these 7 plates Phantom III rear springs which we designed recently, can you please arrange for 2 pairs to be produced. One pair having a poundage of 1350 lbs. and the other 1550 lbs.

We are anxious to fit the 1350 lbs. springs to a car which is shortly going to France so can you urge delivery.

I am looking into the question of the springs with the special clips. The life of these springs was about twice that of the ordinary 4 plate springs. I will let you have a full report very shortly.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
