RR 238 (150 BKS.) (DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 431-8.12.24) MP 306975 X6006. ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To EFC Order No. PD 55 Customer's No. August 29th 1930 X.6006. 48 Coil High Output Dynamo X6016 and Reduced Charge Scheme. A road test has been made on dynamo I.O.1.M., fitted to 23EX, with a view to investigating the inability of the dynamo to balance the load of the lamps when switched on, as reported during the 10,000 miles test of that car. With the dynamo in a hot condition, (about 70°C). the maximum output of the dynamo, I.E. running on magneto only, and with the head and side lamp fuses removed, was 15.0 amperes at 19.0 volts. In the same hot condition, and with head, side, tail, and instrument lights, and ignition on, there was a discharge of 2.5 amperes. The total consumption of these units, estimated from the types of lamps fitted on the car at 13.25 amperes, was indicated on the Signed Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
