I am not sure you realise the anxiety I feel that we shall not get the above two chassis ready at an early date and together at the same time for trial in France.

If we do not offer the very best that can be obtained our Sales will fall off, and nothing on earth will make them recover, so while there is still time push on.

It has occurred to me that E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} should bring with him all the general arrangement (not details) of the parts for these two chassis, so that while he is here we can go over them and refresh our memory of what we are to have, and what is done, and find what is not done.

It does not matter if every small part is not brought to its final efficiency and simplicity as long as we have the main improvements embodied, such as -

(1) Better riding qualities. ( Because of the weight
(2) Better steering qualities. ( distribution.
(3) Lower appearance.
(4) Lighter weight.
(5) Lower cost, etc.
