SECOND LEFT-HAND CHASSIS.

R's criticism of the bumper went much farther
than complaining about the section of the metal.

E.1/W14.6.30., addressed to Cy., Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, and
Ry., shows a sketch of a different type of bumper. There
was also a request that we should try and obtain a bumper
as designed.

We understand that Cy. has written to U.S.A. about
this.

It must also be remembered that we have no spare
left-hand frame. This collision test will have to be carried
out on one of our two cars.

R.{Sir Henry Royce} has stated that the present design of bumper
he considers would damage the frame in the event of a collision.

Do you wish us to carry out the collision tests with
the present bumper?, if so, we will make the test on the second
left-hand chassis as soon as it is available.
