BENTLEY lll - EXPERIMENTAL SUPPORT FOR EXHAUST FRONT SILENCER.

Please receive herewith :-

E.CD.1104 Exhaust Front Silencer Support. Bentley lll.

This design is an alternative to E.CD.1084, and is an attempt to provide a support which will allow for both engine oscillation and also heat expansion of the exhaust system, and at the same time reduce the number of required parts, so reducing the cost.

If the heat transference from the exhaust pipe to the rubber block is not excessive, the support should be tried without the asbestos washers.

Should this type of suspension be found to be satisfactory we will then apply it as far as possible to the remaining supports for the exhaust system.

Will you please detail and instruct the new parts for use on Bentley lll experimental chassis fitted with the Wraith lll type of exhaust silencers.

We also attach the following designs of alternative types of Silencer Supports which should be filed and not detailed :-

E.CD.1095 Silencer Suspension - Front. Bentley lll.
E.CD.1097 Alternative Silencer Front Suspension. Bentley lll.
E.CD.1100 Alternative Silencer Front Suspension. Bentley lll.
