78993 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. Re Testing of Sports No.1 in USA. BJ6/E12.1.28 I attach copy of Na{Mr Nadin}4/W5.1.28 re the above. I presume we shall not have a Sports car available for some considerable time to be tested in America? Also please let me know what you think about sparing Mr.Rowbotham. I must also ascertain who is going to pay for this visit of man and car and the test, which will be very expensive. Do you know if Na.{Mr Nadin} has a specification of what is included in the Sports car so that it may be decided in America whether it is worth while the considerable expense to test the comparative-ly few modifications. The point arises that the suggestion may have been made at the time when it was probable that Derby would manufacture a considerable number of units for America, but this is still very uncertain.
