W.A. Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd.
Experimental Department,
DERBY.

Dear Sir,

With further reference to my letter of the 19 September, I have not, so far, had many applications for the appointment as Assistant in the Experimental Department, which I can recommend.

I should, however, like to mention the cases of Mr. W. Learmouth, B.Sc., and Mr. H.B. Pond, B.Sc. Mr. Learmouth has a first class Honours Degree in Engineering, taken in 1924. He is now 24 years of age, and has been a Whitworth Scholar. I understand that he has already held an appointment in the Experimental Department of your firm, so that probably you will have particulars of his record and will be able to judge whether he would be suitable for re-consideration. His address is 23, Charles Street N, Sunderland.

Mr. H.B. Pond took a Pass Degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering in 1926. He is 28 years of age, and has had ten years experience (including apprenticeship) in Mechanical and Marine Engineering. His address is 20, Strode Crescent, Sheerness, Kent.

I will let you know of any further candidates who come to my notice.

Yours faithfully,

H.J. Crawford
SECRETARY.
