Mr Barrington
Do we not know which cars are wrong?
Is it not possible to send parts with illustrated pamphlet showing how to fit & advise owners to take to our nearest agent if it cannot be done at home.
If not, let a man who knows how to do the job be placed at the disposal of each of our selling representatives.

Breakes & Failures. (Re clearance in spring link bushes)

* TBB1/L31812.

With reference to Mr Royce's note of August 22nd, a copy of which I attach, I find that there are 254 cars fitted with fibre bushes and small clearances for the whole of the suspension and also there are 50 cars fitted with fibre bushes and small clearances in the rear suspension only.

Standing orders were issued in June for all cars to be corrected as they come into the Repair Shop, but Mr Royce suggests in his note that we should send men out to correct all cars fitted with fibre bushes, as these appear to aggravate the trouble with small clearances. [handwritten: (see back)]

As this is going to be a big job we shall be glad if you will kindly confirm this procedure and advise us to what [handwritten: department] the charges should be made.

This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers.
