C O P Y. Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} D {John DeLooze - Company Secretary} /Wn10/ER26.11.21. In correspondence with a customer (Mr. Ronald Alford) relating to his account, we have recently received a letter from the customer, pointing out that he has taken his Rolls to Ceylon. The following postcript is added to the letter: "The accumulators are no good in this climate - the plates buckle up in a few weeks; have you ever heard that this is so?" I showed BJ this letter because some references made by Mr. Alford to our car, were obviously useful from a publicity point of view, and BJ in writing back on the subject, asks us what steps are being taken in regard to the failure of the accumulators. As I understand it, failure of the accumulators is a fairly common thing, and I am sending you this extract from the letter, so that you may if you think fit, refer the matter to the makers of the accumulators. Beyond this I do not see what can be done. Wn. | ||
