X.3124 Re "Falcon" Engine for America.

I do not know that this engine is waiting for anything from me. Such modifications to the parts that are being made in connection with bringing it in line with the "Eagle" should not delay the engine seriously.

I think it would be quite unwise to keep the engine back on account of any improvements that I know of other than those necessary to make it give at least 250 HP. In fact, I should despatch it in a somewhat temporary condition, rather than delay sending it. The improvements could go out later, so that the models and instructions would arrive in time for the manufacturing programme.
