Dear Sir, For the attention of Mr. Hives.

We beg to acknowledge receipt of yours of the 21st inst., giving us particulars of mileage on the experimental set of tyres recently fitted, and are much obliged for same.

We also find that due to some oversight your previous letter which informed us that these tyres were rather noisy has not been acknowledged, and we offer you our apologies for the omission.

In the meantime we would say that the tyres are of course of an experimental type and not necessarily the pattern which will be ultimately adopted. The point you raise, however, is of much interest, and you may rest assured that it will be very carefully considered.

We take it you willhave no objection to continuing the test on these particular tyres, and we should appreciate any information you could give us as to the continuance of the noise referred to when the tyres get worn down.

Yours faithfully,
THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO LTD:
W. Bond.
