We have used Silico Manganese Steel in the past because it is the material we ourselves advise for these particular springs, and we have had an extensive amount of experience in actual work and experiments. We could, of course, make these springs from any material you care to specify, and if you will let us know we will have some made in the class of material you specify immediately. Springs made from Silico Manganese Steel have given excellent service and the maximum amount of efficiency and reliability. We could have some material put through to any specification you care to try, Chrome-Vanadium, Straight Carbon, or anything you care to try. Your instructions, which we await, and for which we thank you in anticipation, will receive every possible attention, we remain, Yours faithfully, FOR GEO. SALTER & CO. LTD. Purchasers of MANUFACTURES of GEO. SALTER & CO. LTD., are requested to notice that they guarantee their efficiency so far as that they will replace any portions that can, in a reasonable time be shown to have failed through defective material or workmanship, but will not be responsible for any damages, direct or contingent, arising from such failure. In case of the occurrence of any strike of workmen, fire, breakdown of machinery, defective castings, or other unforeseen cause of delay the time fixed for completion of the contract shall be enlarged accordingly. All weights, measurements and powers given in estimate are stated as correctly as possible, and any trifling deviations shall not be taken to violate the Contract. Should any dispute arise on this Contract, same to be subject to arbitration. | ||
