110 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}CB.1/HH. 5.2.41. Messrs. Borg & Beck Ltd., Tackbrook Road, LEAMINGTON SPA. Attention of Mr.Shinkins. Dear Sirs, Enclosed are notes on the recent visit of our Mr. Bastow to your works on January 29th last. If there is anything in them with which you disagree, would you let us know. With reference to the 16" twin-plate clutch, we would be glad if you would continue with the design of this with the dumbell splines moved to the end of the disc-carrier, as shown on our drawing PL.499 which Mr. Bastow left with you. We do not propose to take the idea of operation by face cam any further at the moment, but if we should do so, we would probably make it an addition to your clutch. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED, | ||
