Bentley Chassis - Jacks. GRY{Shadwell Grylls}

Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KW.20.8.36, we did our utmost at the time the new type of jack was agreed to, to obtain the necessary material from outside, other than the jack itself, as you will see from our instructions to the Works, copy of which we attach hereto.

We understand however, that replies to Order Office enquiries took rather longer than usual, and furthermore the annual holiday period of our suppliers has come in between the times.

We understand from the Order Office however, that supplies of jack pad stampings will be available either tomorrow or Monday, and immediately these are in the Works, we propose to take the matter up with Sft.{Mr Swift} in order to urge the machining through.

Although we had to order a further supply of jacks to cover production requirements, we certainly do not anticipate having to use all these.
