X1166 GRY.{Shadwell Grylls} Please deal with this BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. Wcr. E.3/HP.20.8.36. Pn.{Mr Northey} Bentley Jacks. At a discussion with By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} raised the question of the standardisation of the new type Bentley jack and pad. It appears that Dunlops have delivered the new jacks earlier than anticipated, but that for various causes the jack pads have lagged behind, and for production it has, therefore, been necessary to order another 50 of the earlier jacks and pads. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will arrange to look into this with a view to using the minimum number of the present type and Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} agreed to issue the final report on the modified jacking scheme, together with standardisation sheet.
