40/50 HP. RE. SCUTTLE ISOLATION.

We thank you for memo. BY/C5/H10.9.24. We believe that the foul between the accelerator pedal and the wooden armature of the scuttle has existed on the old 40/50 cars always. The only way out of this difficulty is to have a dashboard 1" wider each side. We can see no real way to alter the pedal to improve the situation, and propose that we go on as before, namely, cutting away the wooden armature to clear.

We shall aim at getting a wider dashboard standardised at the earliest possible date, most probably when we introduce a higher radiator as standard.

We shall keep this matter in mind until a suitable occasion occurs.

We wish you to send us the design of scuttle isolation you propose for both 40/50 and 20 HP. chassis, prior to submitting them to Sales for their comments, or issuing to the Expl: Dept: for test.
