-7- Item 15. Not on agenda. Evaporatively cooled P.II engine for use in Armoured Cars. During the discussion of this subject E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} remarked that the P.II engine as at present arranged was not likely to be successful owing to the water circuit in the head not being suitable for evaporative cooling. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} said that the provision of header pipes fixed in existing core plug holes could be arranged to make the circulation satisfactory. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} were requested to concentrate on this job and do what is necessary to make it satisfactory. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will report to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} what action it is proposed to take and report progress as the work proceeds. Item 2 on agenda. Compression Ignition. Recent memos of R.{Sir Henry Royce} Rg.{Mr Rowledge} referred to in Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/E9.3.32. Not discussed. | ||
