Possibility of lightening damper parts and requesting the centre of gravity information for a finished weight.

If the damper proves satisfactory it is possible that the parts may be lightened, but since haphazard machining would alter the centre of gravity of the weights and thereby alter the natural period of the damper, further machining should be carried out in conjunction with the Design Office. Will the Expl. Dept. please let the Design Office know the exact position of the centre of gravity of a finished weight as soon as possible in order that the roller damper may be checked.
