The gaps and limits decided upon for the above type of switch are as follows:- Position | Carbon Gap | Copper Gap | Button Depression --- | --- | --- | --- Off | .063" +12 -13 | .090" +15 -15 | 0 Carbons in contact | 0 | .040" +5 -5 | .029" +6 -6 Coppers in contact | 0 | 0 | .052" +9 -9 On this particular switch the carbon contacts need adjusting so as to meet earlier. It was also noticed that one of the side stops comes into operation before the other, resulting in the lever tilting sideways slightly, after coming into contact with the earlier stop.
