Dear Sirs, Attention of F.{Mr Friese} J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Hardy, Esq. Drawings - Rollers F.61281 and F.62383 - Tracks by Ransome & Marles. We have pleasure in acknowledging receipt of your letter of the 17th instant, together with copies of Blue prints as above. Commdr. Matravers has given very close personal attention to this matter and the points raised in your paras. A.{Mr Adams} B. and C. We are not happy with the limits imposed by you in the 1" bore, but we agree that such close limits would be necessary if the rollers were manufactured as per your sub paragraph (a), and since your last visit here, and discussions with Commdr. Matravers, he has designed a new type of grinding fixture, which is as per Blue print 960 herewith. We think you will find the scheme perfectly clear, the fixture being bolted to a spigot of the machine, 3 pegs locating in the track of the rollers. We consider the scheme definitely superior to your proposals, and further, the method put forward, is definitely positive. We are confident that a more satisfactory job can be effected by this fixture, than by locating from the bore of the - 1 - | ||
