X4456. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KT. Oct. 15th, 1932. Automotive Products Ltd, Brock House, Langham Street, London. W.1. Dear Sirs, We have been making some tests on your hydraulic brake transmission as fitted to a Morris car. Our results show that the transmission has approx. 69% efficiency between the brake pedal and the pin operating the brake shoes. We are rather surprised that this efficiency is so low, and should like to know whether you consider this to be an average result. If so, we should be much obliged if you could let us know exactly where the greatest losses occur. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
