Dear Sirs,

You will remember at the end of July or beginning of August last year supplying Mr. Royce with a set of 3 BXE 5 cells for the "Buick" Car which they have down there. We have now received complaint from them that a failure has taken place in the middle cell of the three, the nature of which is explained by the enclosed matter.

We should be glad if you could, in view of this and other cases of failure which we experienced in April and May last and reported to you fully at the time, assure us that the necessary steps were taken by you to avoid future failures of this kind.

We agree that a certain amount of such failures may be due to excessive overcharging, and at the time we brought this home strongly to our Test Dept. since which time we have had no further complaints from that direction, but we should like to have this assurance from you in order that we may definitely inform Mr.Royce that the necessary improvements have been made to overcome, as far as possible, such faults.

Yours faithfully,
