X132B To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} LID{A. J. Lidsey} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/HP.12.9.33. C. Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Bensport - Rear Jacking Pads Herewith is N. Sch. 3820, shewing a jacking pad attached to the rear springs inside the gaiter, and projecting through it. A modified jack head is suggested, and we understand can be obtained without difficulty. This head is also suitable for the front axle, which does not need pads. The space for the jack under the rear spring pad has been increased by approximately 1/2" over that now obtaining with the external clipped on pads. this space is then approximately the same for both axles.
