5. The screen pillar we suggest should be panelled in thin steel under the normal aluminium, and that arms should extend along the cantrail and the screen rail, whilst on the lower end the steel panelling should form a connection with the triangular gusset which goes down to the bottom side. In this connection we would mention that we will show you shortly an extra body bracket attaching the body to the frame immediately behind the dashboard so as to transfer the thrust from this gusset direct to the frame.

6. We agree that the panelling of the doors shall be entirely in aluminium, and that the interior garnish plate carrying the window gear shall be made in aluminium of No.16 gauge.

7. We agree to the reduction of the depth of the screen rail as indicated by the writer.

It has been decided now not to fit the air duct between the top scuttle ventilator and the dashboard on this car. We wish you to fit the latest type of top scuttle ventilator as approved by our Sales Department for delivering cool air into the scuttle.

We send herewith a print of LeC 4294 showing the scuttle isolation which will be used on this car. You will notice that we have fitted an adjustable buffering system to the scuttle which we wish you to cater for.

Yours faithfully,

For and on behalf of
ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.,
