Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Martindale.

When we received Mr. Martindale's 'phone call this morning we had been informed by one of Messrs. Smith Clayton Forge Ltd., representatives that the experimental axle for test with GIRLING BRAKES was almost complete but in order to confirm we rang up one of the directors at Lincoln and were informed that it was impossible to deliver in less than 10 to 12 days.

We much regret the delay and pointed out to Messrs. Smith Clayton the extreme urgency of the matter and we are writing them today strongly urging them to do their utmost to expedite delivery.

Regarding the automatic adjuster we regret that at the moment we are unable to supply you with drawings but work is proceeding apace and we hope to have completed details in the course of next week when we will forward full particulars.

Yours faithfully,

for NEW HUDSON LTD.,
