K58409 Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre. France. April. 2nd 1926. To H.S. From G.W.H. ------------- 10 G III Chassis. ----------------- We examined the car yesterday all round. We presume that Mr Rowbottom reported the bad oil leak from the rear side of rear axle. this is still bad and may give us trouble. The filters in the vacuum tank and the carburetter were found dirty, Mr Rowbottom complained of starvation at high speeds, this might have been the cause, we shall verify this during our tests. On the run down from Paris we did not observe any starvation from the carburetter. The examination of the brakes found them in good condition and generally speaking the car was in good condition all round. Apparently we have still the bad oil leak from the rear of engine as their's a quantity of oil coming out of the clutch casing. We have commenced our 10.000 miles to day and daily reports will start as from tomorrow Saturday. G.W.H.ancock, | ||
