From Exp. Dept. Copies for: Mr Johnson. Mr Royce. Mr Nadin. Mr Elliott. Report on Experiment No.45 Marston Radiator. This radiator is of the honeycomb type. The tubes are square section and are well put together and quite regular and of good appearance. The top and sides follow our shape but the details of the corners etc. are different. The top plate is folded over the front plate for about ¼” and there is a half round head fitted round the edge of the honeycomb centre. The metal on the top and sides does not lie flat but bulges out in the middle and I should say the metal was thinner than the metal on our present radiator. The dimensions compared with our present standard are as below:- Present R.R. standard. Marston. Height of radiator centre 19⅜” 19¼” Breadth 24” 23” Thickness of radiator centre 5” 4¼” Weight. 81½ lbs. 96 lbs. Capacity. 4¼ gallons 4 gallons. It is therefore 14½ lbs heavier than our present radiator | ||
