Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby..........D/BP .x 300a Levallois SrI/Crn.27.5.35. copy to "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}" Experimental car for France. ------------------------------- Replying to your memo. D/BP/Y22/MH.{M. Huckerby}23.5.35, the regulations are that a Touring Acquit is issued to any person who must accompany the car at all times. With regard to the question of disclosing the number of cylinders, we are afraid that this will not be possible as when a car enters France the customs authorities generally make an inspection. In any case this information is required on the actual Touring acquit. However, there is little fear of information leaking out, as the only people involved are the customs and the owner of the car. Concerning the bank guarantee, this amounts to approximately 55% of the value of the car, and as you state must be dealt with by Barclays Bank (France) Ltd., Boulogne-sur-Mer. Sr. | ||
