CHASSIS CONFERENCE TO BE HELD TUESDAY, 1.3.38

Further to the Agenda Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}3/MH.{M. Huckerby}18.2.38., four more points have now arisen:-

Ph.III Exhaust System.

It is necessary now to order material for the second half of D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} series. We recommend that aluminized mild steel should be used for the parts mentioned in memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}7/MH.{M. Huckerby}29.11.37., as this also seems to meet with the Works approval.

Clutch

It is proposed to bring on a heavier flywheel combined with a cheaper four-finger clutch at 101 in D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}

Bentley Axle Tube Failure. Report W.128

There have been five such failures altogether. The first 1055 Bentley cars have similar axle tubes.

Bumper Bar.

A cheaper bumper bar saving approximately 30/- comes on Production at 180 in L.
