C. to R.{Sir Henry Royce} Mon. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

9HP. RILEY MONACO SALOON. XG 853.

We tried and measured up the above saloon which you obtained for EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} to bring down this weekend, and it must be conceded that the amount of room provided in all directions is ample, and according to EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} agrees with catalogue dimensions.

The body is however wider over the door handles than the wheel hubs.

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will make a layout of the body for comparison with our Bensport.

There is one serious fault which will not exist on our car, and that is the steering wheel is not opposite to the driver.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
