34-GN. MR. FAIREY'S CAR.

This car has now arrived at the Works and we have sent it over to Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has already agreed that this car can have the improved brakes and high compression head. We would recommend that the brakes are attended to in the same way as we dealt with Mr. Thistlewaite. The high compression head is a standard job.

We have also had a telephone message from Mr. Fairey in which he complained of joggles on the steering and the shock absorbers being ineffective. We think this is a case where we should fit Hartfords and also the higher rating front springs. That is, it should be dealt with in the same way as Mr. Thistle-waite's car. So far, however, this question has not been discussed with Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}

There is also a complaint of the movement of the dash, which no doubt could be attended to. New packing pieces are required under the trunk at the rear.

This car must be returned to Mr. Fairey before Whitsuntide.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}
