Re Valve Springs.

Please get out a valve spring having the convolutions of larger diameter at the top. This will reduce the stress on the lower turns. The drawing should bear a note that the spring should be so wound that the convolutions will all close up together when the spring is compressed. The same gauge of wire of course should be used throughout.
