CHASSIS.

The following items were discussed at the Areo Conference on Wednesday, January 3rd, 1934, and there were present:-

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Ey. V.{VIENNA} Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}

Minute No. 1.
Auto Damp Control P.II. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} asked E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} to explain more fully his observations on the operation of the damper control of P.II. as mentioned in his recent note on the subject.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} said that as a result of further experimental investigation it now appeared that it would not be necessary to make alteration to the automatic control of the dampers as some further modifications are now being made which will render this unnecessary.

The date of adoption of the automatic control will not be effected.

2.
Bentley 10,000 Mile Test.

Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s memo referring to the final report of the 10,000 mile test was referred to and Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} asked if all the items were receiving attention with a view to adopting the improvements required.

Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} stated that the various points were being investigated and a report is being prepared and should be ready at any time now.

3.
Road Springs for Bentley.

Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} mentioned the recent communication received from Woodheads in which they proposed to increase the price of Bentley springs.

Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} said that Woodhead's new price is actually a little more than Firth's original quotation.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} expressed the view that possibly the best thing would be to obtain supplies from Woodheads and Firths but he left it for Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} to settle in the way he thinks best.
