Attention of Mr. Parnell.

Dear Mr. Parnell,

Thank you for your letter of 29th August.

With regard to the three sets of equipment we have ordered, we should like two sets fairly soon if this is possible, because we want to put one set on an existing car, to get an impression of it when it is divorced from all the other variables introduced by a new product.

We note what you say about our design of back plate and are having another look at the drawing, to see if we can find where we have gone wrong. In the meantime, I certainly agree to your supplying us with one in accordance with your standard practice.

We will send you the other two sets of castings in the immediate future. As regards the lining, we agree that we should try your recommended practice first.

I suggest Tuesday, 9th September, for your visit, provisionally.

Yours sincerely,
