X1729 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}11/KW. 8.3.35. Strip of the Cadillac. Will you please inspect the chain drive front end of the Cadillac and let me have your views as to how much wear has taken place, and how much further life you think these parts are likely to have. Will you also please hand one of the pistons over to Hall in the Laboratory, so that he may check the condition of the anodic treatment after 20,000 miles' running. We understood from GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} that the big end bearings were in a poor condition. If in your opinion these require replacement, will you please let me know whether you would like to make the necessary parts yourself or order them from America.
