There is a common complaint from our Fitting Foremen of parts being taken from the benches in their absence, and this is causing a lot of friction between Works and Stores as to replacements. We are aware of this sharp practice of getting material, and steps must be taken to protect our open bays from these people. Parts required by any of your departments will be supplied if application is made through the ordinary channels, and we insist that the proper routine must be observed. We request your co-operation in this matter, and hope you will issue the necessary instructions to those concerned, for we are determined on our part that strict measures must be taken if we ever hope to put this matter straight.
