-15- engine is running, damaging the flywheel teeth and the motor. We strongly recommend that another position should be found for the starter motor switch lever. BONNET to LOP F.56200. STAYBRITE FINISH. Incorporating :- N.S.3139 Revised Bonnet Overhanging Dash. N.S.3123 Concealed Bonnet Hinges. There have been considerable rattles coming from the bonnet when running over coobly roads or on poor surfaced roads. The angle of the bonnet catches is too steep to maintain pressure on to the bonnet strips. The catches are too light and allow the bonnet to flap about. The covered side hinges are a considerable improvement, no deterioration has taken place. We have had a definite rattle from the top front hinge bearing of the bonnet on the radiator. The rivets on the side hinges cut into the fabric strip. The stiffening strip of the bonnet fouls the Dashboard near the top of the panels. PETROL TANK to LOP F.57368. Incorporating :- (1) N.S.3028 Revised K.S. Telegauge Fittings to Arrgt. F.57152. (2) Double Filter to give 2 galls. reserve. (3) Revised Petrol Filler, Phantom II design, including hinged filler cap. Nickel Plated Finish. The petrol tank has remained in good condition, there has been no sign of any petrol leaks. The reserve tap leaked but was O.K. after being tightened up. It is not in a convenient position to operate with the spare wheel in position. The hinged filler cap has remained secure. It is easy to operate and has proved to be an improvement. K.S. TELEGAGE. We have not had any further trouble with the telegauge after the attention first paid to it. The petrol readings have been approx. correct. It was working correctly at the finish of the mileage. BATTERY & FITTINGS to LOP F.56808 P & R BATTERY. We have had no trouble with the battery box and anchorage, at the finish of the mileage they showed no weaknesses. | ||
